Yes, if you live in a province or territory other than BC, you can still adopt from us. We always recommend you first come and visit us to meet the dog you are interested in but we understand that this is not always possible. The Penny Foundation can assist with arranging transportation and on occassion a volunteer can bring the dog to you. Our belief is the best home is not always the closest home.

In our experience, long distance adoptions have been successful. In these cases, the potential adopters do not go to the trouble to have a dog travel to them if they cannot provide a safe and loving forever home. The Penny Foundation takes all strides to first get to know the potential adopters and only if it’s a good match will we proceed with the adoption.
